As part of our collaboration with Dorrington PLC, we recently furnished their incredible Verso development’s three-bedroom penthouse apartment. This stunning penthouse comes complete with a private entrance, a spacious living and dining area, and a full-length balcony overlooking London’s Southbank.
To achieve a modern Scandinavian feel, the palette consists of a mix of neutrals and warm earthy wood tones. The design reflects the stunning architecture of the building by Allies & Morrison, featuring crisp, clean lines to maximise light throughout the space.
The colours chosen for Scandi-lovers depart from the traditional Nordic base of whites and near-whites in favour of warmer, creamier hues that add subtle personality. Light and white furniture emphasise the fresh, airy look, while soft earthy textures provide a warm and homey feel, while darker details provide a dynamic contemporary design.
The open-plan living and dining area in the flat's centre features a mix of warm tones across fabric and wood. The living room's focal points are a textured white Cenova sofa in white boucle Lazio fabric and a Charlotte armchair in brown cotton velvet, which are complemented by a walnut dining table and black leather Ottawa chairs. A large gallery piece in dark tones sits at the back of the dining room, adding a dramatic touch to the space.
In keeping with the current flexible work situation, the third room has been furnished as a studio, complete with a desk area and a sofa bed, and can easily be converted into a guest room.
In the other bedrooms, a luxurious buttoned velvet bed has been included, which is complemented by the organic-shaped Valencia nightstands. At BoConcept, our aim is to create an interior space that is both stylish and functional, and this penthouse apartment is an excellent example of this.
