When tasked with designing a high-end duplex apartment in London, Marie Laurent Architecture set out to create a space that embodied clarity, functionality, and quiet luxury. The brief was clear: a minimalist home that felt warm, liveable, and elevated, while remaining adaptable to both everyday living and professional hosting.

“The client wanted refinement without excess—something versatile enough to transition between personal downtime and entertaining guests,” explains Marie Laurent. With generous light and clean architectural lines, the property was an ideal canvas for this pared-back aesthetic.

Meeting the demands of a VIP project

With a tight timeline in place, efficiency in sourcing, delivery, and installation became critical. We played an essential role in meeting these demands.

Furniture that complements the space

For this project, every piece of furniture was chosen to support the vision of understated luxury. The Amsterdam corner sofa in navy anchors the living room with its sculptural lines and deep, inviting upholstery, while the Expose black side table introduces a lightweight yet striking contrast. To bring clarity and order to the architectural shell, the Como wall system in ash grey provides a modular solution for storage and display, while the Lugano wall-mounted cabinets in the same finish reinforce the minimalist look with discreet practicality.
