We're excited to announce the appointment of Emma Louise Akkad as the company’s new Trade Sales Manager. With a strong background in luxury interior design collaboration and business development, Emma brings both creativity and precision to every client partnership. 

“My role involves collaborating closely with interior designers, architects, and trade clients to bring design concepts to life,” says Emma. “From the first consultation to final delivery, I make sure each project reflects the client’s vision — beautifully and functionally.”

Emma draws inspiration from BoConcept’s heritage of Danish craftsmanship and modern design, particularly admiring the Carmo and Bolzano sofas. 

“The Carmo’s modular design and bold geometry make it perfect for statement living or flexible hospitality spaces. The Bolzano’s soft, organic curves bring a sense of calm sophistication — both are timeless examples of Danish design that balance function and beauty.”

According to Emma, residential, commercial and hospitality projects are increasingly embracing warm minimalism — a design trend that combines sophistication with luxury and comfort. 

“Designers are looking for beautiful aesthetics, comfort, longevity, and natural textures. There’s a real appreciation for pieces that combine form, feeling, and function — and BoConcept captures that perfectly.”

Emma finds creative energy in architecture, travel, and London’s vibrant art and design scene. 

“I love exploring galleries, boutique hotels, and architectural buildings. Every encounter with great design sparks inspiration I can bring to future projects.” 

Outside of work, Emma enjoys discovering new restaurants and art exhibits, countryside getaways, and spending time with her two rescue dogs, friends, and family.
