Over the last couple of months, we’ve been giving you a little snapshot of the individuals who make it all happen. Last month we introduced you to Michel, and this month we would like to introduce you to Felix, who is the Operations Manager that takes on the huge task of installing all our large contract projects...

Felix Galecki – Contract’s Operations Manager

What does a typical day look like on site?
My day always starts with that all-important coffee; it’s an absolute must for the day ahead! Once we arrive on site for a typical build-to-rent installation, I collect all the keys needed for that day before briefing the team to make sure everyone has an up-to-date schedule of delivery and all floorplans required. We then get to work, carrying out the delivery and assembly of all items while navigating our way through any obstacles that may occur on site. Throughout the day, I continually check up on the team to make sure all is progressing well and everything is completed up to standard and on track with our schedule.

The show apartment at our most recently completed BTR project, Coppermaker Square, where Felix and his team installed 281 apartments over a 6 week period.

What big projects do you have in the pipeline for 2023?
We have just completed the installation of 281 apartments at Coppermaker Square and will soon start on the third phase of UNCLE’s Colindale development, where we will be installing a further 105 apartments. In the coming months, we also have 154 units to be completed in Wembley, followed by a number of other developments that will take us nicely into 2024.

What do your team do to successfully support BoConcept's sustainability goals?
Sustainability is a huge consideration in our day-to-day operations, especially considering the scale and quantity of products that we are dealing with on a daily basis. All deliveries and transportation are organised to be as efficient as possible, and all packaging is carefully separated and recycled. Our furniture items are designed and built to last, which has a positive long-term effect on our carbon footprint.

Dealing with such large quantities of product, it’s so important for all packaging to be carefully separated and recycled.

What is your dream Holiday destination?
Home (Poland) is my favourite place to visit, as I can spend time there and have quality time with family and friends. However, my dream holiday destination would be Bali, or I would love to visit various spots across Asia to see the sights and experience the vibrant culture!
