Every year, Milan Design Week sets the stage for the future of interior design, unveiling the latest trends that shape both residential and commercial spaces. As the world’s leading design event, it brings together the most innovative minds in furniture, architecture, and technology, offering a glimpse into the evolving relationship between people, spaces, and sustainability.
Taking place in April 2025, Salone del Mobile will showcase a vision of design that fosters deeper connections. Under the theme "Mondi Connessi" (Connected Worlds), this year highlights participatory and generative design, exploring how artificial intelligence, sustainability, and social interaction are reshaping the built environment. Discover the key emerging trends from Milan Design Week 2025 and their impact on interior spaces.

Sustainable Innovation
Design is becoming increasingly committed to sustainability, with a strong focus on integrating renewable energy and eco-conscious materials into urban and domestic spaces. This year will highlight projects that showcase how sustainable technologies can seamlessly blend into our everyday environments.
At BoConcept, sustainability has been a core principle for years. 95% of our furniture is produced in Denmark and other parts of Europe, drastically lowering carbon emissions compared to importing from the Far East. Since January 2021, all of our own production and office facilities in Denmark have operated on 100% renewable wind energy, significantly cutting CO₂ emissions. We are dedicated to reducing environmental impact without compromising on quality or design.
Social Connectivity
A key theme at this year is the importance of designing for connection—whether in public spaces, hospitality environments, or workplaces. Thoughtfully designed interiors foster interaction, engagement, and inclusivity.
This philosophy is at the heart of BoConcept’s Business Park Project, where we introduced the Snake Carmo sofa as a dynamic seating solution. The modular design encourages collaboration, naturally facilitating spontaneous conversations and teamwork. By creating flexible, comfortable spaces, businesses can cultivate a stronger sense of community and productivity.
Urban Living and Mobility
With rapid urbanisation, commercial interiors need to be adaptable, functional, and optimised for modern city living. This year will highlight innovative solutions for urban mobility, exploring how interiors can enhance flexibility, accessibility, and a sense of place in city environments.
Our latest Build-to-Rent installation at UNCLE Acton embodies this vision. In collaboration with The Realstar Group, we furnished 214 contemporary apartments in West London, creating spaces designed for both comfort and connectivity. The interiors are curated with a balance of neutral tones and bold accents, ensuring a warm, welcoming atmosphere. As cities continue to evolve, projects like these demonstrate how smart, stylish design can enhance urban living experiences.

Immersive Installations
Renowned for its experiential installations, this year many exhibits will explore how multi-sensory experiences and interactive spaces can deepen engagement and storytelling in design.
We understand that furniture is more than just functional—it’s an integral part of shaping meaningful experiences. From hospitality spaces like Tap Del Bar to workplace environments, our designs focus on creating inviting, immersive spaces that encourage people to connect and engage on a deeper level.
The Future of Connected Design
Milan Design Week is a powerful reminder that design is not just about aesthetics—it’s about fostering connections, supporting sustainable innovation, and adapting to the needs of modern urban life. At BoConcept Trade & Contract, we continue to embrace these principles, delivering furniture and interiors that are not only visually striking but also purposefully designed for the way people live, work, and interact.
