Tenitt & The Ori House: Art-Led Living in Practice

A Charlottenburg apartment where art, furnishing and everyday function were developed as one — shaped by early collaboration and shared intent.

The residential apartment developed by tenitt in Charlottenburg, Berlin, belongs firmly to the latter. Conceived as a single, fully furnished residence, the project was designed to explore how art, design and daily living could coexist within one coherent and long-lasting environment.

Rather than layering meaning on at the end, the intention was to embed it from the outset — creating a space that feels lived-in, grounded and culturally alive. This approach required partners who shared the belief that interiors are not neutral backdrops, but environments that actively shape experience, identity and connection.

Calm zones and collaborative moments

From the earliest stages, tenitt partnered with The Ori House to place art at the centre of the project. Instead of introducing artworks once the interior was complete, the apartment itself was treated as a living canvas — allowing architecture, natural light and atmosphere to inform the artistic intervention.

Artist Thomas Delaroziere was commissioned to create a new body of work inspired by the landscapes of his home, Martinique. Rooted in memory and nature, his paintings introduce emotional depth without dominating the interior. They function not as decorative accents, but as quiet points of reference — opening the space to light, horizon and cultural narrative.

This art-led approach established the emotional tone of the apartment and shaped how every subsequent design decision was made.

Translating vision into a livable interior

With art setting the framework, the apartment required a furnishing concept capable of supporting everyday use while maintaining clarity and balance. Our furniture was selected by tenitt to translate this vision into a functional, design-led interior, delivered in collaboration with the local team in Berlin.

Rather than competing with the artwork, the furniture provides structure and grounding. Careful consideration was given to proportion, materiality and longevity, ensuring each piece contributes to the overall composition of the space while remaining practical for daily living.

The result is an interior that feels calm, measured and adaptable — designed not as a showcase, but as a place to live.

Design-led living in practice

From planning through execution, the team worked closely to deliver an outcome that aligned with both the operational requirements of a serviced apartment and the broader cultural ambition of the project.

This collaboration reflects an increasingly adopted approach in residential developments, where art, furnishing and spatial decisions are developed in parallel rather than in sequence. Early alignment allowed each element to support the others, resulting in an interior that is clear in function and considered in expression.

A partnership rooted in culture and connection

The Charlottenburg apartment represents the first chapter in an ongoing collaboration between tenitt and The Ori House — one built on the belief that spaces shape us, and that thoughtfully designed environments can inspire clarity, grounding and a deeper sense of identity.

Through custom art commissions, artist residencies and curated cultural experiences, this partnership places art at the centre of tenitt’s design philosophy. We’re proud to have our furniture featured within this project, delivered by the local Berlin team and carefully integrated into an interior where every element was considered from the outset.

The result is a residence that feels cohesive and intentional — a space where art and design support everyday life, and where shared intent between partners has shaped an environment that feels both refined and deeply lived-in.
