For our latest collection Volterra, we collaborated with Italian architect and designer Claudio Bellini to explore what happens when architectural principles are brought into the everyday dining experience.
Inspired by the Tuscan city of Volterra, where material, craft and history converge, the collection brings together sculptural forms, refined proportions and a considered approach to materiality. The result is a dining and living collection designed to feel distinctive today, while remaining relevant for years to come.
Bellini describes a table as “a sort of basic architectural element” — an idea that sits at the heart of Volterra.
Rather than treating the dining table as simply another piece of furniture, the collection considers it as an architectural focal point. Strong vertical and horizontal elements are carefully balanced, creating a sculptural base that feels grounded beneath a clean, minimal surface.
For interior designers and specifiers, this sense of proportion is particularly important. A well-designed dining table needs presence without overwhelming its surroundings, particularly in open-plan schemes where furniture must work cohesively within a wider composition.
