A Fresh Take on Colour

For AW24, BoConcept is introducing a number of new fabrics and colours to bring fresh shades, textures, and perspectives into consumers’ homes—think calming blues, rich reds, and new neutral shades.

When we think of minimalist interiors, it's all about clean lines, an astute edit of furnishings, and pale, monochromatic colours. Minimalism does not, however, need to mean a lack of colour, and there are ways to enjoy a minimal aesthetic but indulge in a bit of colour at the same time.

Capri, our elegant new fabric comes in four colours: Blue, Mustard, Sand and Beige and we a proud to say that it is crafted from 100% recycled polyester and OEKO-TEX® certified. Avellino, the new richly textured, Italian-made fabric is also available in Dusty Blue, Red, Golden Beige, and Green. Each colour has been carefully selected to complement the colour mood boards across our collection, offering a diverse range of options to suit every taste and interior style.

Shades of blue have dominated colour predictions and trend forecasts for 2024, with BoConcept introducing Blue in our smooth Capri fabric and Dusty Blue in the bouclé-effect Avellino. Blue is often associated with serenity and relaxation, which makes it is easy to use in minimalistic spaces.

For those craving a bold statement, red is known for stimulating energy, a vibrant and bold colour that can become the focal point of any room. Thanks to the bouclé effect of the Avellino fabric, the red is softened by the lighter shades woven through it, as well as adding depth and texture. For a more effortless approach to the movement towards red tones is the introduction of the Burgundy velvety soft woven Tuscany fabric.

This season there are several ‘new neutrals’ to look out for, too, and they bring a fresh take to the traditional neutral palette by bringing warmer tones. New for 2024, Golden Beige is a warming neutral that is enhanced thanks to the rich texture of the Avellino fabric. This colour has a wonderful shade-shifting power, depending on the light, and has a timeless, elegant look, bringing warmth and depth to a space while still maintaining a sense of neutrality.
