Our simple but effective care tips will help keep your designs bright and fresh for years to come.

Fabrics

Caring for upholstery might seem intimidating. But in reality, it’s easy to keep your designs looking fresh for years to come. Start by getting rid of any damaging dust particles by gently vacuuming your upholstery on a regular basis. Avoid chemical products (like paint or nail polish remover) that may cause discoloration, and where possible, some fabrics are better kept out of direct sunlight. So, think about placement in advance.
 
Accidents happen. But when they do, resist the urge to put your fabric in the washing machine. Instead, dab the area with a dry, clean cloth or blotting paper. For tough spots, we recommend our BoConcept fabric cleaner. For extra care, apply our fabric protector to any fabrics that are not already pre-treated.

Leather upholstery is timeless yet symbolises contemporary luxury at its best. With just a little care, it can remain soft, rich in colour, and eternally luxe.

Leathers

As a design choice, leather can enhance the aesthetics of your project, bringing timeless character and durability for years to come. Choosing the right leather to suit the required lifestyle is key. For example, in a family home with pets, choose a corrected leather that offers easy maintenance for heavy use. Keep a distance from extreme heat sources, such as direct sunlight or wood-burning stoves, to avoid drying out the leather and causing cracking or fading.
 
Stretching and creasing with time is one of the most captivating natural qualities of leather. We recommend treating leather with BoConcept Leather Protection. This will allow the natural character to form beautifully, with its new appearance intact.
 
Basic cleaning methods are all you need to keep your leather looking luxe. Carefully vacuum on a regular basis, using the soft brush nozzle. Dusting afterwards with a damp cloth to prevent wear and tear.

Woods

Although our wooden designs need no initial treatment, again, be mindful of where they are placed in relation to air conditioners and heat sources, for example. Microfiber cloths are your new best friend; they are ideal for wiping dust and dirt off without worrying about damage. Use coasters or placemats when placing hot or moist objects, rather than items such as magazines or newspapers that can cause inky stains.
