Set against the still waters of Laguna del Sauce, this prefabricated residence blends precision architecture with warm, curated interiors.

Set within the tranquil rural landscape of Laguna del Sauce, this striking seasonal residence demonstrates how thoughtful architecture and carefully curated interiors can create a home that feels both purposeful and deeply connected to its surroundings.

Build for place, designed for precision

Created in response to the challenges of building in a remote location, the residence was conceived using a prefabricated construction system, allowing the home to be fully built off-site before being transported in modules for final assembly.

Structured around a precise 3 × 3 metre steel grid, the architecture establishes rhythm, balance, and proportion throughout the design. Externally, black corrugated metal cladding allows the home to sit quietly within the landscape, creating a subtle contrast against its natural surroundings.

Warmth within minimalism

Step inside, and the atmosphere shifts entirely. Birch plywood walls and ceilings introduce warmth, texture, and softness, balancing the clean architectural lines with a sense of comfort and calm.

The material palette creates an interior that feels grounded and welcoming—proving that minimalist spaces can still feel deeply inviting.

Furniture that complements the architecture

Selected to enhance rather than dominate the interior, BoConcept furnishings bring both character and function to the space.

Within the open-plan living area, the Bellagio sofa in a warm natural orange introduces understated personality, paired with the Madrid coffee table in a natural finish to echo the home’s organic material palette. The Princeton armchair and Demand floor lamp introduce sculptural black accents, adding contrast and visual depth.

Flexible living, thoughtfully considered

In the dining area, the Billund round dining table in white and light oak creates a welcoming setting for everyday dining and relaxed entertaining.

Elsewhere, a dedicated workspace showcases how compact living can remain highly functional. The Cupertino desk is paired with the Adelaide chair in grey, while the Xtra footstool adds versatility—transitioning effortlessly from a minimalist everyday piece into a practical bed when needed.

Living beyond the walls

A generous covered terrace extends the living space outward, strengthening the connection between the home and its natural surroundings.

Furnished with the Cancun outdoor dining collection in green, the exterior becomes a natural continuation of the interior—an inviting place to dine, unwind, and take in the peaceful views across the lagoon.

This project is a thoughtful example of how architecture, furniture, and landscape can work in complete harmony—demonstrating that compact living can still feel open, refined, and deeply connected to nature.
